Terms of service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you (the business signing up) and Lewis Raybould, trading as Teabreak Sites, Unit 175221, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL ("we", "us").

Teabreak Sites is for businesses. By signing up you confirm you're acting for your trade or business, not as a private consumer.

1. What you get

For the monthly fee, we:

  • write and build a website for your business from the details and photos you give us
  • host it and keep it online
  • register one standard .co.uk, .com or .uk web address for you (it's yours: see section 9), or connect one you already own
  • send quote requests from your website to your dashboard, email and (once available) text messages
  • give you a dashboard to see enquiries, change your phone number, hours, areas and photos, and switch on booked-up mode
  • make reasonable changes you ask for (section 5).

"Standard" web address means one priced at the normal rate by our registrar. Specially priced ("premium") names aren't offered.

Your web address is registered as soon as your first payment goes through. It's included in your monthly fee for as long as you're a customer, including its yearly renewal. A new address can take up to 48 hours to work everywhere.

2. Before you pay

You don't pay anything until you've seen a preview of your site and approved it. Building a preview doesn't commit you to anything.

Every site goes through our automatic quality checks before you see it, and anything they flag is checked by a person. We can decline to build or publish a site, or take one down, for example if the business or content is unlawful, misleading or offensive.

3. Your content

  • You're responsible for what you tell us being true, and for having the right to use the photos, logos and text you send.
  • You must tell us about any registration your trade legally needs, such as Gas Safe for gas work, and give us the correct number.
  • We'll only publish claims you've given us. We won't invent reviews, accreditations or statistics, and you mustn't ask us to.
  • You keep ownership of your content: the information, photos and logo you give us. You give us permission to use it to build, host and run your website. With your separate agreement only, we may also show your site as an example of our work.
  • We own the website's design and code. While you're a customer, you have permission to use them as your website.

4. Payment

  • The price is shown on our website when you sign up: currently £20 a month. Any introductory offer, such as £10 a month for 3 months, applies only to the period stated.
  • Payments are taken monthly in advance by Stripe, starting when you approve your preview.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and we'll let you know. See section 8.
  • Prices include VAT if we're VAT-registered. We'll show this on your invoice.

5. Changes to your site

  • Updating your phone number, hours, areas, photos and booked-up mode: do it yourself in your dashboard, as often as you like.
  • Other changes: send a request from your dashboard. We aim to finish them within two working days. This covers things like rewording a section, adding a service, swapping photos or adding a page about a service you offer.
  • A complete redesign, or work for a different business, counts as a new project. We'll tell you before starting if something falls outside this.

6. Price changes

We can change the monthly price by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your first payment after the notice ends. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.

7. Cancelling

  • Cancel at any time from your dashboard. There's no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
  • Your site stays live until the end of the month you've paid for. Then billing stops, your site goes offline and we stop renewing your web address (section 9).
  • We don't refund part-months.

8. If payments stop

  1. If a payment fails, we'll email you and Stripe will retry it.
  2. If it's still unpaid 14 days after the first failed payment, your site goes offline. Your dashboard and data stay in place, and the site comes back by itself as soon as you pay.
  3. If Stripe can't collect the payment after its retries, the subscription is marked unpaid. Your web address stays registered for you until its next renewal date. After that, if the account is still unpaid, we won't renew it and it will be released.

9. Your web address and content if you leave

  • The web address is yours. We register it and look after it for you, under Teabreak Sites' details so your home address isn't on the public register, and you keep it if you leave, however long you've been with us. It stays registered until its expiry date. To keep it after that, move it to a registrar of your choice from Your account in your dashboard: for .com addresses you'll get its transfer code, and .uk addresses are moved to the registrar you name (by its "IPS tag"). We'll change the registered owner to you as part of the move, free. From then on its yearly renewal is yours to pay, usually £5 to £15 a year depending on the registrar.
  • Your content is yours. You can download your details, enquiries, photos and logo from your dashboard at any time.
  • The words on your pages: on request, we'll send you the text of your website as a plain document within 14 days of you leaving, so you can reuse it.
  • The design and code stay with us. We don't hand over the website's design, code or files. Your website goes offline at the end of your last paid month.

10. Enquiries and personal data

When visitors send enquiries through your site, you're responsible for that information and we handle it for you. Our data processing terms (below) form part of these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your own information.

11. What we can't promise

  • We'll do our best to keep your site online and fast, but we can't promise it'll never be unavailable, for example during maintenance or a hosting provider outage.
  • We can't promise any particular number of enquiries, jobs or Google ranking.
  • We're not responsible for problems caused by services outside our control, such as domain registries, Google or your email or phone provider.

12. Liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
  • Otherwise, we're not liable for loss of profits, business, contracts or goodwill, or for indirect losses.
  • Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

13. Ending the service

We can end your account with 30 days' notice for any reason, or straight away if you seriously break these terms (for example, using your site for something unlawful). If we end it without you being at fault, we'll refund any unused part of a month you've paid for and help you transfer your web address.

14. Changes to these terms

We'll email you at least 30 days before any important change. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.

15. Recommend a mate

  • Your dashboard has a link to share. If someone signs up through it and makes their first payment, you both get a month free, as a credit of one month's fee on your account that's used up by your next payments.
  • Up to 12 free months a year each. Credits have no cash value and end if your account closes.
  • It's for genuine recommendations of other businesses: signing yourself up again, or anything similar, doesn't count, and we may remove credits given that way.

16. General

  • These terms are the whole agreement between us about Teabreak Sites.
  • If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.

Data processing terms

Last updated: 5 November 2026

These terms form part of the terms of service above between you (the business using Teabreak Sites) and Lewis Raybould, trading as Teabreak Sites. They cover personal information that we process on your behalf, mainly enquiries sent through your website. They're required by Article 28 of the UK GDPR.

For this information, you are the controller (you decide why it's collected) and we are your processor (we handle it for you).

For how longWhile you're a customer, until you delete it (see section 8)

2. Our promises

We will:

  1. Only process this information to provide Teabreak Sites to you, following your instructions. Your instructions are these terms and how you use your dashboard. If we think an instruction breaks data protection law, we'll tell you.
  2. Make sure anyone who can access it is bound to keep it confidential. At present that's only Lewis.
  3. Keep it secure (section 4).
  4. Only use the sub-processors listed in section 5, and give you notice before adding or replacing one.
  5. Help you respond to people exercising their rights, such as asking for a copy of their information or for it to be deleted. In most cases you can do this yourself in your dashboard.
  6. Tell you without undue delay, and in any case within 48 hours of becoming aware, if there's a breach affecting this information, and help you deal with it.
  7. Help you with any data protection impact assessment or ICO enquiry relating to the service.
  8. Delete or return the information when you leave (section 8).
  9. Give you the information you reasonably need to show we're keeping to these terms, and answer reasonable questions about it.

3. Your promises

You will:

  • have a lawful basis for collecting enquiries through your site. Usually this is steps taken at the enquirer's request before entering into a contract, or your legitimate interests.
  • keep the privacy notice on your site accurate. We provide one by default.
  • only use enquiry information for dealing with the enquiry and related work, and in line with data protection law.

4. Security

  • All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
  • Our database's access rules stop any customer seeing another customer's enquiries. These rules are tested automatically every time our code changes.
  • Admin access is limited to Lewis's account.
  • Photos sent with enquiries are stored privately, stripped of hidden data such as GPS location, and shown to you only through links that expire.
  • Quote forms are protected against spam and abuse.

5. Sub-processors

You agree that we can use these providers to process enquiry information:

We'll give you at least 14 days' notice by email before adding or replacing a sub-processor. If you object on reasonable data protection grounds, you can cancel without penalty.

6. Transfers outside the UK

Where a sub-processor handles information outside the UK, we make sure UK-approved safeguards are in place: the UK-US data bridge, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

7. Liability

Each of us is responsible for our own compliance with data protection law. The liability limits in the terms of service apply, except where the law doesn't allow them to.

8. When you leave

  • During your notice period, you can download your enquiries from your dashboard.
  • 90 days after your subscription ends (or straight away if you delete your account), we delete all enquiry information, except where the law requires us to keep it. We email you 14 days before.
  • Copies in our backups are overwritten within 7 days after that.
